AUGUST COSMO CRICKET CONTEST

AUGUST COSMO CRICKET CONTEST!

Cosmo Cricket has been with us from the beginning, so we are super excited about this contest. They always produce such fabulous product that fits perfectly with the Cricut and Cuttlebug machines. This month’s contest will be a fun way to put all of your favorite things together.

Contest Rules: Use any Cosmo Cricket product, at least three Cricut cuts, and any Cuttlebug folder. Contest will open on August 20th. Please upload a working link or picture of your project to the blog under the Magazine Challenge tab. One entry per person. Entry deadline is Friday, September 9th. The winner of this contest will receive $150.00 credit on Cricut.com! Don’t forget to take a high resolution picture so if you win, you can send it in for the Magazine!

Here is my entry for this months challenge. Sorry, it's a long post.
I really love the paper dresses I have been seeing online lately. I decided I would attempt to make one myself. My first try I used newspaper which for me due to Arthritis was a whole lot easier to work with than cardstock. I enjoyed this challenge and would like to make more dresses. Now that it is fall, we have many craft and antique shows in my area so I will be on the lookout for vintage forms. Thank you for stopping by.

Cartridges and supplies used;
6 sheets Cosmo Cricket  Early Bird:Cherry Pie paper
70 red eyelets, red ribbon, marabou boa, Martha Stewart scoreboard, lace, brown and red cardstock,
Provocraft Mosiac and button embossing folders
Tie The Knot - corset
Forever Young - Vintage tag, handbag, and gloves
Kate's Kitchen - note card and cherry cutout
Country Life - Pennant banner
Just Because Cards - pretty please quote

The gloves were cut using velour paper, I was amazed how awesome the button embossing looked on this paper.

I used a metallic paper for this cut, I love the way it shines.

Shameless begging...

LOL

70 eyelets! My hands were killing me by the time I finished.

Attaching the lace was the easy part

I taped the folder down to prevent shifting
